More from Bahia Ballena, Costa Rica

Enjoyed a trip up the river in the dinghy on Monday. Took a few cold drinks and a picnic lunch and off we went. Saw a couple of green parrots on the way in then some wonderful white cranes in flight. We also saw one of the largest wasps' next we've ever seen.....glad they weren't upset and swarming.

On Tuesday we headed for Montazuma and the waterfalls. It was a fun little town and after enjoying the waterfalls we had a nice lunch at a beach restaruant and did a little shopping before we left.

Above: Alan enjoying the waterfall.... Below: Mac enjoying the waterfall.....

The most fun was at the bus stop while we were waiting to catch a bus back to Tambor. We met a really nice couple, Margaret and Jess from South Carolina, who are retired and living in Costa Rica. While we were talking all of a sudden there was a loud nose in the trees and then a loud bang on the tin roof of the bus stop. A little white faced monkey ran across the roof and then went through the trees for a couple of bananas.

Then 3 or 4 iguanas came running through the bus stop area and people went scurrying while all the girls screamed. They were chasing each other and apparently not worried about all the people. What a fun bus stop....most fun I think we've had waiting for a bus!
