The Plans Are Coming Together

Who said, "I love it when a plan comes together?"..............
So the map gives you the basic idea of "The Plan". Our plan is to leave on July 9th. It will take us a few days but our first official stop will be in Lincoln, Nebraska where we will visit my cousin Julie and an old friend Teresa, who was my best friend in grammar school. Then on to Waterloo/Omaha to visit more family, maybe golf a little bit and hopefully not drive my cousin Wilma crazy. Then on to Fremont Lakes for more family fun and after that Lyons for yup more family fun and a visit to the old homestead. Also plan on heading up to the Winnebago Pow Wow. That should take us to the end of July.

Next stop planned is Winnipeg Canada to visit with a dear friend, Joann, we met while cruising in Mexico. Then back down through the Dakotas making sure to see all the sights; Mount Rushmore, Teddy Roosevelt National Park, The Badlands, Sitting Bull, etc. Then back down to Nemaha, Nebraska a perfect spot to see the solar eclipse on August 21st. and visit Barada Nebraska. We will be staying at "R U Lost RV Park".....picked it because I loved the name but they seem really nice there and it's a perfect spot to see the eclipse.

From Nebraska we are heading to Maryland to stay at ASSATEAGUE ISLAND NATIONAL SEASHORE....that's where the wild horses roam all over and even come into the camp sites. Then on to Cherry Hill for a week to explore Washington DC. Doesn't sound like much but that's a lot of planning, calling, and making reservations WHEW!

After DC we will head up the coast. Not sure where exactly we will visit yet but since it's the nice time of the year will plan on visiting coastal sites, especially in Maine. The goal is to reach Nova Scotia by the first week in October on Cape Breton Island for the Celtic Colours Festival. It's a celebration bringing in the fall colors and enjoying Celtic music and customs.

We will then follow the colors.......................hopefully we will have many beautiful photos to share.

Plans are to be at the Liberty Harbor RV Park in New Jersey on November 1st where we can see the Statue of Liberty from our campsite and then head south from there. We again are not sure of exact dates but plan on stopping to see Jackie and Bill, cousins in North Carolina, dear friends in Florida, Sandy and Eleana (on separate coasts) and for those of you who really know me of course, "Harry Potter World!"

Again not sure after Florida but definitely want to revisit New Orleans where we spent our honeymoon and visit friends in Texas (Ginger & Ricky).

As they say the trip is "A Work in Progress"......
