First Stop Dutch Flats

Stayed at Dutch Flats for 3 days over the 4th of July......looking for a quiet place to spend the 4th (the furry kids hate the bang of fireworks) and we found it. Arrived on July 2nd and on July 3rd took a drive through Dutch Flats....very cute little town all decorated up for the 4th of July:


We then drove a big loop down through Grass Valley and Nevada City and then back to Dutch Flats.....nice drive....cute towns and beautiful country.




The Monte Vista Inn was just across the freeway from the RV Park. We stopped for dinner there on the 3rd and were so glad we did. It was originally built in 1852 and restored in 2003 to just a restaurant and bar. Great food and fabulous decorations, they said each month the decorations change. The theme for July was of course, the 4th of July, even the cloth napkins were theme based. Definitely would recommend a stop there if you are ever in the neighborhood.
